Maximum occupancy is two guests. Visitors are not permitted. People other than those in the paid reserved Guest party may not stay overnight in the property. The Pool, Patio and Home are for the use of reserved guests only.
Outdoor patio and pool use hours are 7am - 10pm. The Hideaway offers a unique sense of privacy, so no gatherings are permitted after 10pm.
No pets allowed.

This is an eclectic and imaginative one bedroom cottage sanctuary with a front porch swing for watching east Austin mosey on by. The bathroom features a walk in shower with custom tile and a clawfoot tub for all of your bathing dreams. There is an additional sleeping loft should you have a friend or two who would like to accompany you.

Due to COVID19, we want to confirm our standard cleaning process for guests:
- Kitchen and bathroom are cleaned with windex and clorox
- Comforter is laundered between every stay (as are all linens/towels, of course)
- Fabric-covered chair and throw pillows have been removed
- All surfaces are wiped down (fridge, microwave, table, light switches, etc.)
- Clorox wipes provided for extra peace of mind

The Kanga Tiny House comfortably sleeps two people, sharing a queen bed. If you are traveling with a third person, or simply need extra sleeping space, we have a twin-sized air mattress available for you to borrow, or a pac'n'play for a little one. (Please ask for this in your reservation request if you need it). Floor space is limited, so we may rearrange furniture to comfortably accommodate your group.
Check-in time is 3pm or later. Access is through a keyless lock for which you'll be provided a code prior to approval, so late night check-ins are not a problem. Check-out time is 12pm.
Dogs are permitted on a case-by-case basis for an additional per visit fee of $25, and approval must be obtained ahead of a booking being made. The fee will be added to the booking through a booking alteration/special offer. In cases of Instant Books, we'll submit a request for pet fee payment through the Airbnb system. Guests must keep their dogs supervised at all times when in the yard, leashed when outside the yard, and must pick up after them.
The Kanga Tiny House is roughly 200 square feet, and features:
- 1GB fiber Internet (through WiFi Airport Extreme)
- We have a Roku TV with several free apps and a Netflix subscription.
- USB Charger for your devices
- Wireless Charging Pad from Ikea (your device must be wireless enabled)
We keep the place well stocked with all of the basics, as well as extra towels and blankets.
We are:
- 15 minutes (6.6 miles) from Austin Bergstrom International Airport,
- 5 minutes (1.5 miles) from the Austin Convention Center,
- Approx. $6 or $7 Uber/Lyft ride from downtown,
- 1.7 miles to Austin's famous Rainey Street bar and restaurant district. We recommend taking Uber/Lyft unless you feel like a 30 minute walk,
- 3 blocks away from the Lady Bird Lake trailhead on Pleasant Valley, for walking/biking/running (by Longhorn Dam).
If you enjoy exploring on foot, or alternative transit options like bikes and buses, this is a good spot for you. You'll be just one block away from Cesar Chavez St, a major thoroughfare that goes into downtown, where there's an eclectic mix of dining, drinking, retail, services, gas stations, and single family homes. We're only a few short blocks from the Lady Bird Lake trail and head over Longhorn Dam, which pops you out onto a hiking, biking, and running loop that is several miles long. The boardwalk over the lake provides great views of downtown.
There are plenty of things in walking distance, and we recommend looking at our Guidebook for more details. Our favorites for food & groceries:
- JuiceLand on E Cesar Chavez, a smoothie & juice spot, approx. 3 minutes away
- Tacos Guerrero on Cesar Chavez & Pleasant Valley, fantastic breakfast tacos for only $2 a piece
- La Barbecue on E Cesar Chavez (we recommend preordering, at least 5 days in advance, to save yourself a couple of hours in a long line for the best brisket in town).
- Kemuri Tatsu-Ya, 1.5 blocks away, fantastic Texas & Japanese fusion food
- Juniper, 1 block away, a small plates restaurant with great cocktails
- Counter Culture on E Cesar Chavez, a vegan restaurant, 2 blocks away
- Blue Owl Brewing, a sour-mashed beer micro brewery, 1 block away
- Juniper, a classy Italian restaurant with great wine and outdoor seating, 1 block away
- HEB on E 7th, a grocery store, approx. 10 minutes away
- Hi Hat on E 6th, a gastropub, approx. 15 minutes away
- Counter Cafe on E 6th, a breakfast & lunch diner, approx. 15 minutes away
- Launderette on Holly St at St Martinez Jr St has one of the best burgers in town plus a tasty rotating dessert menu.
There are many more options for dining and services. If you prefer to drive to any of these you'll get there in less than 5 minutes.
We are avid travelers ourselves, and love staying with AirBnB hosts any chance we get. We want to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, and are completely open to frank feedback on how to improve your time in the Kanga Tiny House.
The guesthouse is in the gentrifying East Side neighborhood. It's a wonderful, artsy, quirky place in the heart of the East Side entertainment district. There are countless restauraunts, food trucks, bars, and even four breweries within walking distance. Lady Bird Lake and the hike and bike trail are just a couple blocks away. The Convention Center is minutes away and all of downtown is easily accessible by e-scooter, e-bike, and rideshare. We are just 10 minutes from the airport.

Enjoy a private entrance onto our beautiful 1/2 acre lot. Take in the fresh air while sitting in the Adirondack Chairs right outside your door or spend the day reveling in all that Austin has to offer. We are 3 1/2 miles from downtown Austin and the U.T. campus. There is a bus stop just a short walk up the street or rent one of our bikes while you are here. Check-out time is 11:00 am and check-in time is after 2:00 pm.
No minimum stay. Also available for rent by the month. Please look at calendar carefully as rates are subject to increase during festivals and other high traffic times (SXSW, ACL, F1, etc.) Price increases are reflected on the calendar!

If you have animal allergies, this is NOT the place for you. Please take time to look at the pictures. We have a lot of animals on our property. We think of this as a huge plus, but allergy sufferers will most likely feel otherwise.
What do we love most about our neighborhood? The fact that we live on a HUGE lot so close to the city center. It's like having a piece of the country in town.

SuperhostNestled in the very back of our backyard amid the cacti and bamboo, this sun-filled 1 bdrm, 1 bath cottage comfortably fits two. Enjoy spitting-distance access to UT, downtown Austin, I-35 and the MetroRail, as well as the restaurants, coffee shops, food trailers and parks of the eclectic Eastside Cherrywood neighborhood. Or just laze about on our hammock.
It's accessible through our driveway or a gate on the other side of our yard, giving you complete privacy to you come and go as you like. The queen-sized Murphy bed folds up to give even more space. Other features include a lots of window space with blinds, a large desk/table, 24/7 WIFI access, and a mini-fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. And of course, AC (as well as heat for the one week of the year it's cold here).
We're located in the tree-lined French Place section of Austin's eclectic Cherrywood neighborhood, near campus and very central. Downtown is only a few minutes away by car, bus or train. You'll have an easy two-block walk to assorted coffee shops, groceries, liquor stores, taco joints and food trailers, as well as a fair share of well-reviewed restaurants. You can hop-skip to the bus or drive in under five minutes to the nearest MetroRail station (a must during SXSW or ACL, when parking downtown is impossible).
We'll work with you on check in-and-out times. Our two large cats will work with you on any feline needs. (Though they're not allowed in the space, so if you're allergic, don't worry.)
Parking is a breeze on the street with no restrictions or permits required.

The bathroom has a sink, shower, self contained eco-friendly toilet and bath supplies including a hair dryer. Our location is very centralized so you can get anywhere in Austin easily. It's only a 12 minute drive to downtown (25 minutes in rush hour)! Why stay in a boring hotel when you can have your own private house for a fraction of the price?
This tiny house is perfect for a short getaway for one or two people.
We're located on a small street and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Within walking distance- Some great Asian and Mexican restaurants as well as a Target and bus station.
There are tons of restaurants near by- Ramen Tatsu-ya, Stiles Switch BBQ, Din Ho Chinese BBQ, Baby Greens, Hanabi Sushi, Tam Deli & Cafe, Royal Jelly, El Nuevo Mexico, Chago's, Pint House Pizza, Torchies- the list goes on and on. Other attractions close by include Capitol City Comedy Club, Top Golf, Alamo Drafthouse, Pinballz old school arcade, Ikea and the Domain restaurants & shopping.

Small private studio apartment in the backyard of an east side bungalow. One of the original “tiny homes” in Austin built to provide artist residency and lovingly named the “Birdhouse". Rustic and small but all you need for a close, affordable Eastside/Downtown experience. Quiet neighborhood for being seconds away from the action. This spot fits one comfortably, two intimately. Walking/biking distance to downtown and east side bars and restaurants. Easy access to Town Lake trails.
We have a very cute, small studio space with kitchenette and full bathroom in the back of our home.
Desk folds away for more room. There is a twin bed with an extra mattress you can put on the floor.
Town Lake is 1/2 mile away and downtown is 1 mile. Walk to many of the east side bars. If you haven't experienced the East Side of Austin, you're in for a treat! Hip "Weather Up" bar just two blocks away. Bars and restaurants of the Rainey Street district an easy 1 mile walk. Convention center is a 1 mile walk. East 5th & 6th bars and restaurants are within 1 mile walk. We walk downtown all the time!
2 blocks to the bus stop, 5 blocks to the train stop that takes you right to the Convention Center.
Charming quiet and safe Holly street neighborhood. Separate alley entrance. No smoking and no pets. WiFi available.

Old Austin, funky musician's pad. Two blocks from both I35 and SOCO (South Congress). Two miles from downtown. Access to a swimming pool and hiking in The Blunn Creek preserve. Stop for public transportation right out the front door. Coffee and breakfast seved and there are always hommade cookies, fruit, and espresso available. Full access to the house including the museum and music room. No smoking inside but smoking is allowed on the back patio. A unique experience ala Austin of old!

The space is unique and AUSTINTATIOUS! We are love and are proud of it. If you want the Four Seasons or J.W. Marriot experience, go there! These are GREAT hotels. We won't be offended.
After reserving, PLEASE READ THE first few sentences of HOUSE MANUAL BEFORE YOU set out to find the house. Will save you a lot of time & trouble.

The tiny house is an 8 ft x 16 ft and is an open space. The private kitchenette and bathroom are about 15 feet from the tiny house in the very back of the owner's home. Your reservation is an acceptance of the space.
Spa shoes and robes are provided so that your short walk to the kitchenette and bathroom are comfortable. There's always an extra blanket above the microwave and an umbrella in the kitchenette. The new AC/heater will make it cozy no matter what the weather is like.
Everyone that reads about the space prior to reserving LOVES the tiny house and the space. Those who do not read, should read so they will know what to expect. We are VERY proud of the space as it is AUSTINTATIOUS!
NO ONE else will have access to your kitchenette and bathroom. Your bathroom and kitchenette are NOT shared. Occasionally, I will restock water, coffee, tea and snacks in the kitchenette. 99.9 % of the time, these items are restocked prior to your arrival. I would never enter your spaces without checking with you first. The other doors in the owner's home are locked and not accessible.
There is a modern shipping container house also on the property. The back yard and deck spaces may be shared if someone is renting the shipping container house. The shipping container house is not a part of your rental.
Considered downtown EAST SIDE. 2 miles to I-35.
Cool bars and restaurants on Manor Road, The Mueller, Cesar Chavez and East 6th, 7th, 11th Street, 12th Street! 5-10 minute Uber/LYFT ride. Pickup time is usually about 3-4 minutes unless there are large events like SXSW or Austin City Limits Music Festival occurring downtown. Then, pick times will be delayed.

SuperhostCozy backyard cabin with a minimal kitchen, maximum cool. There is one queen size bed in the loft , a fold out couch in the living room. And a cot in the shed. The yard is fenced off from the main house with its own entry gate on the side street. Small animals ok, no attack dogs, under 20 pounds.
At the entrance there is a good size deck with a table and two chairs and a chaise lounge. The great room is the main living space. The bathroom with a no curb shower is at the back off the living room. The mini kitchen is to the right of the living room. There is a small step down, so watch your step. The loft stairs are a bit steep , just to the right at entry . Tall people watch your head as you enter the loft.
Quickie Pickie is the de facto meetup spot. Great mochas! The Ironworks BBQ is a good substitute while Franklins BBQ while it is getting rebuilt.
Justine’s is great food, as is Magnolia.

Shipping container tiny house private spaces include: loft, sitting area, kitchen, walk in shower and toilet. You will also have access to the back yard and decked areas. There is a modern main house on the front of the property. There is another modern tiny house on the property that may occasionally be rented by other folks. In this case, the deck space and back yard may be shared.
Shipping container builder, Kountry Containers. Land and permits by Keeper's Land Consulting. Welding by Amp’d Welding and Fabrication, Framing by Taylor Handyman Service, Electrical by Jackpot Electric. Living room flooring will be Manhattan Maple. This is easily the best location to start your Austin adventure! You can easily walk to Barton Springs Pool ( 4 min walk) and Zilker Park!
This apartment has an absolutely perfect location! It's right next to Zilker Park and downtown, which means you're super close to everything. It's recently been redecorated. The apartment fits 4 people comfortably with 2 in the king bed and 2 on the comfy sleeper sofa.
The Zilker neighborhood is home to many familiar Austin landmarks including the Umlauf Sculpture Garden, the historic Tex-Mex restaurant Matt's El Rancho as well as Barton Springs Pool, located in Zilker Park which hosts the Zilker Holiday Tree and Trail of Lights as well as the Austin City Limits Music Festival.

Welcome to our studio in the heart of Hyde Park! Our private studio is located in our backyard with parking in front of our house. You can walk to Hyde Park Village, the Triangle or North Loop and it is minutes to downtown and UT.
Our private studio offers convenient access to everything you want to do in Austin. It is small (approximately 220 square feet, like a small hotel room) but what it lacks in size, it makes up for with charm (and everything you need for a great stay). The studio is located in the backyard of our house (private fenced yard, side entrance) and is separate from the main house, although it shares an insulated wall with a home office, typically in use from 9-5. Also included are WiFi, and smart TV (no cable, but Netflix account pre logged in.)
The studio has a brand new queen sized bed. Due to its limited size, we do not allow the studio to be used by more than 2 full-sized adults. It is perfect for a couple or small family. The kitchenette includes a mini fridge and microwave. Additionally, all of the windows have window coverings for privacy, though the top windows are uncovered for natural light .
As we are located in the middle of a historic residential community (and love our neighbors and this is our backyard), keeping outdoor noise down is critical. If you're a fan of blaring music and doing beer bongs, you're in the wrong place.
The studio is located near several bus stops in a safe neighborhood that is very safe to walk in.

Our beautiful and friendly neighborhood is one of the oldest in Austin. It is full of tree lined streets with eclectic homes. You can walk to local coffee shops, restaurants or Shipe Park for a picnic or swim (in the summer time)!

SuperhostA wonderful little retreat right in the middle of Austin. The cabin is only 180 sq ft but has everything you need. Twin bed with 500 thread count sheets, fine towels, coffee & tea setup. While very simple, it is about a third the price of a hotel.
The "Zen Cabin" is a tiny 180 sq ft hideaway & is perfect for ONE person. It is a serene, quiet space (heavily insulated soundproofing) right in the center of town: Hyde Park just north of UT. Walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants and grocery stores. 10 minute walk to UT. Bike distance to downtown.

There is a full bathroom and twin bed, and it is adjacent to a large garden with many seating options that are you are welcome to use.

Hyde Park is one of the favorite neighborhoods in Austin. Most homes date from the 1920s and there are large established trees. The neighborhood contains Central Market North for gourmet groceries & Wheatsville food co-op for your hippie fix.
There are also many great restaurants such as VinoVino, Asti, Julio's, Uchiko, Tacodeli, Zen. In addition, it is just north of UT Campus.

The unit is quiet and clean, with amenities including fully stocked kitchen, cable TV/WiFi, and one free on-site parking spot. The neighborhood is known as Clarksville. Its known for its beautiful architecture and older mature trees and landscapes. You are very close to downtown but it also had the feel of a well established residential area.
There are lots of nice restaurants, markets, and coffee shops close by. A stroll through the adjacent neighborhoods will give you a glimpse into a nice residential neighborhood in Austin.

This fantastic backyard garden oasis has been completely remodeled and is available for rent by the night. Hardwood floors, AC unit, heater, queen-size bed with a fluffy duvet. Fully equipped bathroom with walk-in shower and a large closet. Small refrigerator and microwave for your convenience. Coffee pot and toaster oven. Free Wi-Fi!
Enjoy a private entrance onto our beautiful 1/2 acre lot. Take in the fresh air while sitting in the Adirondack Chairs right outside your door or spend the day reveling in all that Austin has to offer. We are 3 1/2 miles from downtown Austin and the U.T. campus. There is a bus stop just a short walk up the street. Check-out time is 11:00 am and check-in time is after 2:00 pm.
No minimum stay. Also available for rent by the month. Please look at calendar carefully as rates are subject to increase during festivals and other high traffic times (SXSW, ACL, F1, etc.) Price increases are reflected on the calendar!
If you have animal allergies, this is NOT the place for you. Please take time to look at the pictures. We have a lot of animals on our property. We think of this as a huge plus, but allergy sufferers will most likely feel otherwise.
What do we love most about our neighborhood? The fact that we have a HUGE lot so close to downtown. It's like having a little bit of the country in the city.

Just recently remodeled. This is a great place for launching your Austin adventure or staying in town for that business meeting or conference. The location is excellent with easy access to South Congress, Riverside, and Downtown.
The apartment fits 6 people comfortably with 2 in the large bedroom (king bed), 2 in the second bedroom (queen size bed), and 2 on the comfy living room sleeper sofa (queen size).
The house sits on a safe and quiet street in The East Riverside/Oltorf neighborhood, a fast-developing area just east of I-35, and extremely near to downtown. Walk in parks close by, and check out bars and music venues such as Whip In and Emo's.

This is a super tiny, private apartment room in the garage of our house. It has a very comfortable memory foam bed, air conditioner, tv, coffee machine, mini fridge, microwave, wifi and plenty of space under the bed to store your stuff.
Bathroom: The bathroom is shared with just one other guest. It features a sink, shower, self contained eco-friendly toilet and bath supplies including a hair dryer.
Common areas: This reservation does not include a common area or living room. There is no access to the main house.
Getting around: Uber/Lift are readily available and easy to get. It's about a 12 minute drive to downtown(unless it's rush hour). The bus station is a 10 minute walk. It takes about 30 minutes to get downtown by bus.
You'll be close to Alamo Drafthouse, Ramen Tatsu-ya, Din Ho Chinese BBQ, Bartlett's, Hanabi Sushi, Top Golf, The Domain restaurants & shopping, Hop Doddy, Stiles Switch BBQ and Pinballz old school arcade.
This is the perfect space for a traveler on a budget. You cannot beat the price!

SuperhostThis cozy budget friendly apartment is a real hidden gem! It's located above a cool local bar on the second story of one of the last old industrial warehouse buildings on E. 6th Street.
Please keep in mind that the building is over 100 years old, so you're likely to find a bit of peeling paint here or there or the occasional quirk, and there is a potential for some noise.
You'll find tons of fun bars and restaurants on E. 6th St. The location is amazing!
The apartment is thoughtfully decorated and very cozy. Nice linens, fluffy towels, good coffee all included.
*please do keep in mind that the apartment is above a bar, so there will be occasional noise.
This lovely little hidden gem of an apartment couldn’t be better situated. It’s surrounded by the trendiest bars and restaurants, great coffee and brunch spots, Practice Yoga, The White Horse and Attabar are right outside your door. This up and coming area of the city is really fun and eclectic.

Plusz, gyors hozzáférést biztosít a nyugati belváros és az államközi. Ez annyira értékes volt. És imádtuk a bájos dekorációt! Fejjel: Ha könnyű alvóként vagy, akkor érdemes füldugót hozni. Az utcai zaj kicsit hangos lehet, és amikor megmaradtunk, az utcai építés egy kicsit zajos volt. De normális a nehéz alvóknak jól kell lennie. (Nem volt nehéz aludni - a barátom, amíg nem találtunk füldugókat.) Szeretett dolgok: aranyos, furcsa, tökéletes 2-es, és 3-as működik. Reggeli, ebéd, vacsora és italok. 3 percre a belvárostól. Sok Ubers és Lyft mindenkor elérhető. Érzékeny, édes háziasszony, aki segített nekünk kérdéseket és kérésére extra ágynemű. Megpróbálom átvenni ezt a helyet, ha újabb utazást tervezek!

-Living/Dining/Kitchen: TV has Amazon Fire Stick with streaming Netflix subscription and other content. *There is no cable TV. The antenna picks up some channels but not guaranteed*. 3 couches. Dining table and 2 stools is perfect for collaboration/work, dining, playing a game and/or socializing. Kitchen is great for meal preparation, complete with stove, refrigerator/freezer, garbage disposal, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, and coffee maker. All needed basic cooking ware and dining ware for 8.
-Bathrooms: Master bedroom has private bathroom. Soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. 2nd bathroom located in hall.
-Closet space in small bedroom and garment rack in master bedroom. Hangers provided.
-Patio balcony.
-Energy efficient central HVAC.

Complex is located in a quiet downtown neighborhood and is in walking distance of UT, the Capitol, the Erwin Center, and downtown. Bus line is two blocks away and several eateries, pubs, and coffee bars are within two blocks of the condo. The kitchen is fully equipped if you prefer to dine-in.
Please note that check in is 3pm and check out is noon. Please respect those times as I often have guests checking in and out on the same day and I need the two hour window for cleaning.
Note: By accepting the terms of AirBnB, the guests also assume the risk of all harm and or injury which may occur to the guests on the premises or use of facilities. The guest releases and holds the host harmless of any and all liability.
