“A great place where the rainforest meets the reef. Ask the locals to see the peppermint stick insect, the only place on the planet that they live”

“You absolutely MUST see the Great Barrier Reef and Ocean Safari's is one of the best ways to do this. No huge groups on boats that take an hour or more to get to the reef. This company does small groups, close to the reef so you spend more time in the water and you'll see way more, AND have lots of fun!”

You will experience good service here, and the ambience is just lovely. Whet boasts a beautiful fire lit outdoor deck dining area and is surrounded by lush tropical rainforest gardens.”

Natural Feature
“My favourite hike in the area as it blends two things I really enjoy - a challenge and the rainforest environment! This is a 7km steep and difficult trail and walkers need to be fit, self-reliant and well-prepared. The trail climbs from the coastal lowlands of Cape Tribulation, up the rainforest-clad ridge of Mount Sorrow to a lookout offering views of the beautiful Daintree coastline, Snapper Island and beyond. It has an elevation of 683m. Cross your fingers for a clear sky at the top. It's rare but a truly amazing view if you get lucky!”
