I stay in hostels all the time and for the past two years I ran a B&B in New York, so I can recognize excellent customer service and friendly staff when I see them! Andy and Jimmy gave me the warmest welcome when I arrived to The Way. After they showed me the place, they took me and all the other guests to a nice seafood dinner. Such a great start for my stay here at the Way! They were very helpful providing relevant information about the LiuChiu Island and the main attractions here in Donggang. As for the space, I really liked the dorms! They are clean and the beds are comfortable, crisp bed sheets included. I had a good night sleep, since all the guests were respectful of the 10pm quiet time curfew. The shower and toilet areas are also well maintained and body wash and shampoo is provided for those who need it. If you want to hang out, check out the skyline and colorful bridge at night, there is a nice living room and balcony on the fourth floor. They also have a cool bar on the ground floor where you can sip on a cocktail while socializing with other guests or getting some work done.
The two bedrooms have primary and secondary bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, refrigerator, microwave oven, optical wireless Internet, HD network TV broadcast on-demand can, 4 pairs of disposable slippers, disposable toothbrush 4 sets, 2 sets of bath towels, disposable paper cup paper etc..
The international popular independent bathroom space, linens for a customer, disposable wash sieve utensils, disposable slippers, a person responsible for the health, to ensure that each room for your stay are clean, safe and comfortable.
Stayed here for a few days. The room was excellent, very clean and spacious. Our host was very accommodating and even picked us up from the station and took us around the town. The apartment is located near the train station, about a 10 minute walk. From there you can easily get to other areas in southern Taiwan. Would definitely stay here again if I were to go back to Pingtung.
Pei-Lun's place is lovely - clean, spacious and with comfortable beds, even a small sunlit balcony. He and his family are nothing less than perfect hosts - even offering to drive us into town and then take our car back as there are no taxis in Donggang. In the morning we were lucky enough to share some 飯湯 speciality soup. A word of warning - the place is difficult to find on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps as it is a new development, so make sure you call and ask Pei-Lun to meet you at a local landmark if you get lost :-)
