This is the first floor of a duplex, everything in this house is brand new and custom built.
The common area has an open floor plan with sunroom/living room/dining area/kitchen. Plenty of seating for everyone to eat and relax together. Also features big screen 4K TV with premium channels (HBO, netflix, etc.).
Main bathroom has a beautiful marble tub/shower with stone floor.
Master bedroom has awesome bay windows and a master bathroom which features a beautiful marble tile/glass shower.
Deck in back of house has gas grille and seating for 6. Kids play house also available upon request.
The property is in such a great location for families as well as those without children. Kitchen is stocked with every appliance you could need as well as kids plates and cutlery. We provide toddler toys for our guests who may use them and can also provide a portable high chair upon request.
And for the adults, our favorite toy is the Coleman Roadtrip Grille (shared between this condo and the condo upstairs, but we have never had a problem with guests not being able to use it at the times they want it!). Grilling on the beach is permitted on Summer weekends in Ventnor!
We vacationed on Surrey Ave for a few years and loved the area so much that we decided to buy. We feel that the North Beach area of Ventnor, where the house is located, is the Jersey shore's best kept secret. The beaches are pretty quiet and street parking is never an issue, yet we are in walking distance to almost everything we could need. And by "need," I mean awesome food, ice cream parlors and more. It’s nice not having to get into the car unless we wanted to and truly relax in a walkable area.
St. Leonard's Tract is such an amazing part of Ventnor for many reasons. The streets are lined with trees and many homes are the original homes from over a hundred years ago that have been renovated/restored.
We also love that our house is uniquely positioned between the beach and the bay on a narrow part of the island, giving you very easy access to both - just over a block in either direction of the house.
There are tennis and basketball courts AND a huge park/castle park for kids on the boardwalk just over 2 blocks away!
Ventnor has a Farmers Market every Friday from 8:30AM to noon, May 24th-30th in the parking lot of Holy Trinity Parish (Altantic and Newport Aves). They offer fresh produce, flowers, herbs, baked goods (paleo/gluten free available), beverages, hand-crafts, meats, fish, pasta and specialty foods. Definitely worth checking out!
Bike info: There is an awesome bike shop around the corner called AAAA bikes. Owners are very nice and they offer rentals ($15/day or discounted for longer rentals).
Riding bikes on the boardwalk is allowed from 6AM to noon on weekends and with daylight hours Mon through Friday from July 1 through labor day.
Island Meat Market is a small grocery store that is walkable from the house (on Ventnor Ave in Ventnor).
Wawa is also on Ventnor Ave, right around the corner from the house.
Casels is a small-medium grocery store on Ventnor Ave in Margate.
There is a large Acme in Ventnor Heights as well as a Dollar General next door to it.
Ventnor no. 7311 is our favorite coffee shop on the island. There are also a Dunkin Donuts in Ventnor, a Starbucks in Margate and Ventnor Coffee is just over the Dorset St. Bridge in Ventnor Heights. Ventnor Coffee and Dunkin’ Donuts are both walkable.
Walking over the Dorset St bridge is a nice evening outing at sunset. There is also a coffee shop on the other side! The bridge opens at 15 minutes and 45 minutes after the hour, just FYI
Sack-O subs on Ventnor Ave is a great place if you’re looking for good sandwiches in a low key (no-frill) environment!
Isabella’s Ventnor Cafe is known for an awesome breakfast (although they serve three meals a day in the summer season).
We are big fans of Buddakan on the Pier in Atlantic City. Their Happy Hour has some really awesome small plates, drinks and desserts (Sun - Fri from 3-6).
We also really like Domenico’s right around the corner for a nice dinner out. It’s really good italian food and they do outdoor seating. BYOB.
There are many other restaurants in walking distance on Atlantic Ave. Just take Surrey to Atlantic (towards the beach) and turn Left.
Ventnor does Concerts on the Beach all summer! Find information atn vbanj.org
For movies check out the IMax Theatre at the Tropicana
For kids: The Ventnor library has a toddler program on Thursday mornings at 10:30.
Heart Revolution Yoga is located at 5211 Atlantic Ave, a few blocks away.
