Walking distance from home
Most things in Tucson are driving distance, but there are a couple of places nearby worth a visit, depending on your preferences.
Trident has amazingly wholesome food for a pub. The menu also has incredible value per dollar. If you are eating a specific way, you will be able to manage with their menu. The place is owned by x-navy seal so you can imagine the place is pretty relaxed.

Where do I start? The Inn is just two blocks north and is a special place to enjoy a cocktail on the patio or breakfast in the dining room. Take some time to stroll around the gardens and see the gift shop if it is open.

Bentley's is locally owned and operated place just between us and campus. They offer breakfast and lunch fare, vegan and vegetarian options. They have good coffee.

This is a bit further from home, this grocery/restaurant is just on the west side of campus at 444 E University Blvd. Tucson AZ 85705. They have amazing pizza slices, sandwiches, and salads. If you go there, you will wonder why I didn't put it first on the list! It is 2 miles from the house, so it may be outside of walking distance for some. The best way to walk, if you don't want to follow a map, is to go to the last trolley stop on Helen St (see map here: https://goo.gl/maps/1ZPJ1wEeQqG2) and follow the tracks. It will take you right through campus and in front of the Time Market. Hours // Open Daily 7 a.m - 10 p.m, http://www.timemarket.xyz/

Sun Link StreetcarThe streetcar is a great way to get to destinations downtown and the Mercado. Sometimes we walk down and ride back. (Uber and Lyft work well in Tucson as well.)
