Boqueria

Inside the city market, just for lunch. Fresh fish from the market served in very simple ways: raw, grilled or fried. Our favorite place to eat fish. You can see and chose your fish and seafood in the showcase, which is the better choice. During the summer is very crowded and the service may be slow and sometimes a little rude. Better to book at the opening time (officially at 13.00 but better be there 15-20 minutes earlier to make sure being within the first tables in) or at closing time around 15.00 but the fish choice might be quite over...

Some recipes are a little bit unorthodox ( people from Rome may not agree with the ingredients in the carbonara...) but everything is genuine and abundant. Our favorites? Spaghetti all'algherese (a delicious juicy tomato sauce with capers, olives and clams) and spaghetti vongole e bottarga.
