The Stanford campus offers a wealth of sightseeing and educational opportunities. Stanford’s Campus: Visit historic Main Quad with its distinct Richardsonian Romanesque and California Mission Revival architecture or see our new Science and Engineering Quad, which beautifully incorporates modern and technological elements with timeless, elegant aesthetics and an abundance of outdoor space. Pick up a self-guided tour map and walk around campus at your leisure, or take a one-hour, student-led Campus Walking Tour at 11:30 a.m. or 3:30 p.m. See a panoramic view of the area from the Hoover Tower observation platform, 285 feet above Stanford’s campus. Enjoy a meal at one of our many campus eateries or dining halls. Stop in at the Herbert Hoover Memorial Exhibit Pavilion. Visit two art museums, the Cantor Arts Center and the Anderson Collection, in the arts district. Catch a show at one of the performance venues, including Bing Concert Hall, Dinkelspiel Auditorium, and Memorial Auditorium. Visit the Home of Champions, a free museum highlighting the history and legacy of Stanford Athletics.

Hiking, Biking, Outdoor

outdoor trails suitable for hiking and biking
A very nice and beautiful hiking spot. The parking is plenty and there is a lot of shade during the hiking which allows you to start anytime. Halfway to the vista point there's a cute farm where you can see nice farm animals chilling and roaming around. There are even wild deers roaming around sometimes if you are lucky enough to catch them. Most hikes are pretty easy (about five miles) and offers a great view when you reach the top. You can also challenge yourself with PGE trail which is nine miles.
