Started in Oxford even before I was a student there (so a LONG time ago!), Browns is a classic brasserie. It is light and airy with well spaced tables. Good place for a burger or club sandwich.

Best reached by bus or taxi. You can order on their app and then pickup, or just roll up and look at the boats while you wait.

A lovely local deli with especially good pastries and brioche rolls. Very warm and friendly owners. Great coffee.
There is also a cafe only branch on the Western side of the Meadows.
