Hiking in the Historic Hills State Park will show you fossils of the sea it was and shards of pottery of the home it still continues to be. Quiet and peaceful with Black Bird Saloon as the local eatery and THe Cerrillos Station for general supplies, yoga, ballet and martial arts as well as gifts and other lovely things. Horseback ride the over 2000 acres of state park at Broken Saddle or just hike or ride your bike. Enjoy the Galisteo River, an underground river most of the year, shaded by plentiful cotton wood and Russian Olive trees. It is a unique New Mexico Experience.

We have 360 days of sun, so bring a hat and refillable water bottle. Remember we are at over 6000 feet so lots of water keeps you hydrated.
