Lovely pub. Old style bar (now with outdoor area and other rooms added). But I like the main bar: lovely light, mad ceiling, nice beer selection, good staff.

Unchanged for years and all the better for it - has resisted all uber-pub trends. Run by same family for yonks: friendly, small, mix of locals and tourists: a classic at the bottom of Shop street!

Nice selection of craft beers. Interesting food options (their own micro stall in the window), and good vibe. Always something going on here.

Is it the best brunch in Galway? Almost certainly. Fantastic food, sensational brunch, great place. Go there. Need to be there at noon on Sundays if you're going to get a table in the first wave.

If you're on for a quirky and fantastic dining treat, go here. Michelin starred hyperlocal food - great experience and very unique. Not a flash room - it's all about the food.

Fantastic fish restaurant. Pretty much cannot go wrong with the food here - all fresh, and modestly priced in my opinion. For a proper sit down fish meal.

Iconic local swimming and diving spot, at what used to be the end of "The Prom". No longer the end since it was extended :-) Great social spot to walk to, meet, go for a swim, or just hang out.
