Wonderful food by well known chef Stephen Terry. Evening a la carte is quite expensive, so perhaps more for a very special meal… however the set lunch menu and Sunday lunch are really great value and very worthwhile indeed.

Cross over the river Usk into the neighbouring village of Llangattock and a short uphill walk will take you to the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. Gentle, picturesque walks can be found both in the directions of Abergavenny and Talybont-on-Usk, while houseboats can also be hired.

Hay-on-Wye is a fairly short drive away and full of quaint book shops, excellent cafes and beautiful views. The famous book festival takes place at the end of May.

Table Mountain is the smallest peak of the mountain range you can see to the right if the house. It can be completed in a morning and is very beautiful. More adventurous walkers can carry on to the next peak, Pen Carreg-Calch.
