This restaurant offers the most amazing waterfront view in Buffalo. It’s situated in Delaware park (designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, best known for his design of New York City's Central Park) across from the Albright Knox art gallery. They serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 2:30 pm and dinner on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 4 pm to 10 pm. Call or go online to make a reservation. After you’re done eating, drive around (or take a walk) and enjoy the Victorian mansions on Soldiers Place, Chapin Pkwy, Bidwell Pkwy, and Lincoln Pkwy (Buffalo is ranked #1 in the nation for having the highest number of old homes).

They serve a variety of soufflé omelets and artisan pancakes. Our favorites are the Dutch baby, banana pancakes, potato pancakes, and chocolate French toast.

In our opinion Mulberry serves the best Italian food this side of the Big Apple. Their homemade lasagna was featured on the Food Network and is made with different meats on each layer. The combinations of meats used in the lasagna changes daily. We also love the stuffed zucchini blossoms.

Chef’s Italian restaurant has been operating at the same location since 1923. If you eat here I recommend ordering their iconic Spaghetti Parmigiana dish.

Clay Handi is one of our favorite restaurants. They serve authentic Pakistani food. Their chicken Tandoori is cooked to perfection. I recommend you order it with a side of rice. They have several different types of bread (naan). Pictured here is the lamb Biryani (be careful not to chew and eat the raw pieces of spice in the dish, they’re meant to be separated from the rice before you eat it), and also deep fried samosas. They do have very slow service though, in fact one of the worst I’ve ever seen, but we keep going back because the food is amazing.

Buffalo’s rich industrial past is soaked in beer. In 1919, on the eve of Prohibition, Buffalo was home to twenty-nine breweries and featured more than 8,000 drinking establishments. Today, the Buffalo area has nearly 50 craft breweries.
23 minutes from the property, NYBP has excellent food and a wide range of flagship and seasonal beers.

Devil’s Hole State Park (12 minute drive from Niagara Falls State Park) overlooks the lower whirlpool rapids with a beautiful walkway along the turbulent Niagara River. You can complete this easy 2.4 mile loop trail on the same day as your visit of Niagara Falls.

The Eternal Flame Falls (24 minute drive from the house) is a small waterfall located in Chestnut Ridge Park. A small grotto at the waterfall's base emits natural gas, and is lit year round to produce a small flame. The relaxing 1.4 mile out-and-back trail is moderately challenging and highly recommended.

If you have time, I highly recommend visiting Letchworth State Park (70 minute drive from the house). It’s renowned as the "Grand Canyon of the East," and one of the most gorgeous areas in the eastern U.S. The Genesee River roars through the gorge over three major waterfalls (as high as 600 feet in some places) and surrounded by lush forests. Visitors can choose among 66 miles of hiking trails or drive up to the public picnic area and use the public grills to make food and have a picnic.
