Some great hikes begin at this trail head including one of the most popular Anchorage hikes FlatTop (and it’s only about 20 minutes away!).
Flat top is a moderate trail but can be done in 2-3 hours and has fantastic views of anchorage.
The power line pass trail also begins here and is pretty much flat but with great views of the valley.

A friend we had visit once described this hike as “Alaska views without the Alaska work” which says it all! Only about 40mins away and just a still through a valley on flat, maintained trails.
