Sightseeing

This is an incredible piece of local history, for starters. Beyond that, it has a gorgeous view and will almost certainly offer some great photo opportunities.

An incredible building and museum, with passionate and knowledgable staff and a very reasonable admission fee. There’s a lot to see here if you’re interested in local history.

Absolutely the #1 thing to do here in Goldendale, and it’s easy to see why. Other than the $5 parking fee, it’s free, and provides hours of educational fun! You’ll learn something new every time, and benefit from the knowledge and enthusiasm of the staff, as well as the features of the recently renovated facility. The solar show is also super cool - I enjoyed it as much as (if not more than) the night show. Be sure to dress warmly; it gets cold and breezy up there after dark. :)

Wonderful set of trails that travel around the hill, with some excellent landscape and mountain views to be had. Right inside the main town, so super convenient. Dog-friendly. (Be advised the trails can get muddy in the spring, or after a rain.)

Really delicious food, and much of it made from scratch. Their bread is amazing (and homemade), and they can customize to accommodate nearly any dietary need, which is great.

A must-visit. You’d be hard-pressed to find a more authentic representation of Greek cuisine anywhere in Washington state, and it’s in such a cool location. The pastry and baklava are absolutely delicious, and there are so many options you’ll have a hard time deciding what to try. Vegan-friendly, too. :)
