Good English food served in a popular friendly historic pub. Nice large grassy garden area to sit outside if weather permits. Few minutes walk from the cottage - facing road turn right and walk along footpath along front of cottages until the first cottage then cross the road diagonally to a grass ‘path’ and follow this to village of Yatton Keynell. Pub is just past the corner shop on right side.

The Castle Inn serves a creative British menu and an extensive wine list, whilst the lounge bar offers informal lunches and light snacks. There is also a conservatory dining room and an ample garden terrace.
Situated in Castle Combe market place, The Castle Inn has an interesting history as a former retreat of Oliver Cromwell. With open log fires, exposed beams and sloping walls, the magnificent building is just 15 minutes’ drive from Chippenham. The Manor House Golf Club is a 10-minute walk away.
