Food Scene

It's an eclectic and unusual setting. All food is made on the premises and made with love. I've never eaten a bad meal here, and the brunch menu is to die for. It caters for gluten free and allergies, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

An organic shop and cafe. Rated as one of the best deli's in the West End. Try the tortilla.

If you want a special night out, and you're a 'foodie', this is the place. It's a wee bit pricey, but worth every penny.

Drinks & Nightlife

It's a pub that has traditional music sessions held on a Wed and Sunday from 8pm. Here you can listen to some of Scotland's finest traditional players, just hanging out and playing for the sheer exuberant joy of it.

Parks & Nature

This is my absolute favourite out of the abundant selection of parks around Strathclyde. It's wild and quiet with its waterfall and beautiful wooded walks. It also has a golf course right beside it, if you fancy a round.

Arts & Culture

It's a beautiful iconic building, straight across the park from the flat. It has some extraordinary works of art including Dali's "St John of the Cross" and also many works by Scottish artists. The organ is played every Sunday from 1pm-3pm

Just one of the many theatres in Glasgow to choose from, but with a restaurant that has a fierce reputation for serving delicious food.

This is the beating heart of the culture in the West End. It's a beautiful converted church that hosts the infamous 'Play, Pie and a Pint' lunchtime theatre. The venue downstairs also has gigs on throughout the week and at weekends. The artist and writer Alasdair Gray has painted murals on the walls, and upstairs in the auditorium, painted the largest public art piece in the U.K - the beautiful astrological ceiling. The venue serves delicious food from local producers, with extensive local micro brewed beers and an enormous range of malt whiskies.
