Cozy local restaurant where a friend had an amazing steak. They have a TV in the bar, and you might be able to catch a game there. Really nice staff and regulars.

This is a great restaurant and B&B located in Downsville, NY. If you're coming from points south, this is a great place to add to your GPS to stop and have a meal either when you're on your way to the lake house or when you're headed home.

On your way from New York City to the cabin, stop in at this local restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, a good menu, and nice beer/liquor selections. You can always get a good local beer here, and the wings are great!

This gorgeous wedding and event venue is located just 19 minutes from the cabin at Silver Lake. We're friendly with the owners and have hosted many bridal parties and wedding guests at the cabin over the years. If you're interested in booking a wedding or event in the area, we highly recommend the Gilbertsville Farmhouse.

Just 15 minutes from the cabin, Weaver's Farm Market is an Amish market featuring LOTS of fresh and local items, from produce to meat to packaged goods and a lot more. We love coming here for supplies and to bring amazing finds back home.
