This is where the electric motors and pulleys that power the cable cars are situated. The pulleys are huge and this tiny museum is memorable, free and easy to access because it's located on a cable car line. Great for kids and adults. You can see where the cables come into the building to be pulled by the efficient motors.

This large dance club and live music venue has prospered for decades. It has webcams running all the time so you can see if it looks interesting before you visit. Right next door is a 24 hour pizza place run by the same proprietors, and you can watch a live video feed from the dance club while you eat pizza. I spent many a night here when I was younger.

This huge restaurant is a great value. It offers dozens of dishes buffet style, including oysters, crab, clams and sushi. It's very popular and there are usually over 100 people inside eating. It's not cheap but still, it's a good value considering how much is included.

I tried this place June 21, 2016 specifically for this airbnb recommendation. The food is outstanding and my Chinese friend said it's very close to the food she ate when she lived in China. This place has over 5,000 reviews on Yelp, and even has a sticker from airbnb on the door telling visitors it's a favorite among airbnb customers. The prices are quite reasonable given the great food. Note that this is a busy place, and you'll likely have to wait outdoors for a seat. It's closed on Wednesday. Not a good place for a date, as it's very noisy. Even so, I had a lot of fun and will eat there again.
