It dates back to the time when refrigerator were not available and fishermen need ice to keep their fish cool and ice was brought in big blocks by carriages from the mountains of Teruel. Dismissed that need now it is an independent cultural center that offers a rich schedule of a variety of events and a bar serving drinks and snacks. Check the monthly schedule online to find out the current events. It lays 15' walking from the apartment on the beachfront.

Where is the Cathedral was the Vesta Goddess Temple, few steps aside the Roman forum, an all around developed the Roman city of Valencia. Rests of its origins are still visible in the archeological museum and from the square in front of it as well.
