The Bealach na Ba mountain pass is the highest road in the UK - a spectacular (and scary!) drive with great food at the Applecross Inn awaiting you.

Turn right out of Coille Bheag and keep going through Inverasdale and Cove until you run out of road and see the car park on your left at the end of the headland. See the old World War 2 defences, gun emplacements etc and see the Arctic Convoy War Memorial stone. Watch out though - some of the cliffs, sea clefts and crumbling old structures can be dangerous for children, dogs and the infirm.
Cove
Turn right out of Coille Bheag and keep going through Inverasdale and Cove until you run out of road and see the car park on your left at the end of the headland. See the old World War 2 defences, gun emplacements etc and see the Arctic Convoy War Memorial stone. Our nearest small town, about an hour's drive from Coille Bheag.
It has plenty of interesting shops, restaurants and the ferry terminal to the islands. Lovely views and lots to do.
