North End Rd market - I can't say enough good things about it! Forget the image of an expensive farmers market (go to Borough Market for that experience), this is a traditional London street market selling cheese, eggs, veg, fish, meat, flowers, Thai and Jamaican ready cooked food and so on. And right on your door step!

Why doesn't Airbnb have a 'pub' option?! This is not a bar, it is not a casino, it is not a music venue - it is a good old fashioned British pub! And I believe this is London's most successful pub (and it's in Fulham) , if you visit on a sunny Saturday you will see why! A free-house so sells lots of beers, great wine list, reasonable food and great ambiance!

A French chain restaurant that is very pleasing, and one of them is just round the corner! We Londoners can sometimes be a little sniffy about chains, but this is definitely a very appealing option with great food at good value prices - my only gripe with this (french) restaurant is that they don't serve snails in garlic butter (I bring this up with the waiter every time I go in, and my husband raises his eyes at my repetitiveness....!)

It's a beautiful place to get lost in (Londons largest park) and then lunch on the river in Richmond tops it right off.
