It may be cliché, but it's so so worth it. Stunning views of the whole city from the top of Newcastle's Castle. It's a proper castle inside and is really well maintained. A real piece of history.

Always impressive, always new art in this free multi-storey gallery. It has a lovely little cafe and a fancy restraunt on the top floor. There's a great outdoor viewing deck where you can see the entire city and river. And did I say it's free? What's not to like?
