One of the loveliest parks in Dublin. About a 10 minutes car ride from the house or a 25 minute bike ride.
There is a really lovely kids playground there, tennis courts, nice walks and a well known rose garden.
There is also a great country market selling home made goods and lots of great organic vegetables on Saturdays.

The largest city park in Europe which also is home to the president's residence and Dublin Zoo. There are also bike paths around the park. You can get a tram from our house to a stop within 2 minutes walk of the main entrance gates.

Howth is a seaside fishing village with lots of nice restaurants to hand. It also has a lovely walk right around the cliffs which really feels like the wilds of nature. It may not be advisable to bring small children on these walks as the trails are narrow and close to the edge without any barrier.

This is an Island accessed by an old wooden bridge. Many locals use it as their swimming spot. it's nice for a walk and it also sits next to Dollymount strand which is great for a walk, sand castles or a kite surf.

The initial entrance looks quite traditional but then you go down a few steps into more of an impromptu dance area and there is an outdoor area with a blue bus serving pretty good pizza. A good place to go to meet people and have fun!

It's the closest bar to the house but I've never been! It's usually only busy on concert nights and it looks fairly lively then.
