Nice restaurant in the woods with really good regional cuisine. Its a nice 1,5hrs hike or x-country ski from our house but also reachable by car.

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit Stil und persönlichem Touch. Die Tochter des Hauses hat alles Geschirr selber getöpfert und das Essen ist sehr zu empfehlen, insbesondere die regionale Küche.

Sehr schönes Ausflugsziel mitten auf dem Rennsteig. Direkt mit dem Zug von Manebach erreichbar und toller Start und Zielpunkt mit den Langläufern. An Festtagen gibt es thüring. Küche im Speissewagen.

The 200km hiking trail on the top of the thuringian forest is close by. In the winter we take the skibus to the top and return via x-country ski to our house passing by Mönchhof for lunch.
