They are all local artisan shops and a delight to walk around on a nice spring or fall day. Dolls, tea sets, knitting supplies, quilts, pillows, and candy etc. There is a pond and you can buy food to feed ducks. Gardner Village have seasonal displays and a petting zoo for recused farm animals that have been abused/neglected. Visiting Gardner Village in October is a must, there is an event called WitchFest and everyone is wearing witch hats! A bit of Harry Potter feel or Hocus Pocus.

First 2 hours are free and each hour after is $2. One of the best parking garages in downtown.
1 hour south to this location. Very fun and scenic attraction. Several pools of varying temperature located up Diamond Fork Canyon. The trail head begins at the Three Forks parking area. The hike to the springs is approx 2.5 miles and the climb has a moderate elevation gain.

The lights at Temple Square during Christmastime are breathtaking, we go as a family and park at the Little America and catch a train in the free zone and walk around to see the lights and the Macy's Candy Ornament displays. In spring, there are tulips everywhere! Lovely!
No visit is complete without stopping by at the Church History Museum (free) and the Family History Center. Can Free organ concerts at the Tabernacle I believe during the week.

The lights at Temple Square during Christmastime are breathtaking, we go as a family and park at the Little America and catch a train in the free zone and walk around to see the lights and the Macy's Candy Ornament displays. In spring, there are tulips everywhere! Lovely!

20-30 minutes north to the Great Salt Lake. Just an FYI from a local, it smells funky sometimes. I have never swam in it.

This is a fun mall; there is Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen, and if you are into local beers along with decent food, try out Red Rock, I don't imbibe but do like their hot BBQ wings there. H&M, Nordstrom's, Macy's, Apple Store, Lego store, Zara, Victoria's Secret and more. Really good mall

The Bonneville Salt Flats is one of the most unique natural features in Utah, stretching over 30,000 acres. It is located along I-80 near the Utah-Nevada border. The flats can easily be seen as you drive I-80 between Salt Lake City and Wendover, NV.
The famous Bonneville Speedway is located in the western portion of the flats, near Wendover. It is perfectly flat and has a thick crust of salty soil. It looks like a frozen lake bed covered with snow. No vegetation grows in that area.

My favorite exhibit is the Amazon exhibit; they have a variety of plants, exotic birds, frogs, spiders, and snakes (not to worry, they are enclosed!). My favorite part of the exhibit is the River Fish of the Amazon; they are very big!

Do Not Walk on the Front Lawn of Other People's Houses
In the United States, many homeowners have beautiful front yards with flowers and fruit trees. Front yards are often unfenced. It is considered rude to walk directly on the front yards to take pictures, pick fruit or flowers without the homeowner's consent.
