Day Trips
A day trip to the beach with sand and surf. There is a lighthouse nature trails, wild Chincoteague ponies, putt-putt golf, Maui Jims Water Park and much more. It is a bit crowded and touristy for my taste but if you're looking for entertainment then its worth the trip. Be sure to go to THE ISLAND CREAMERY for the best ice cream ever.

Take the Onancock Ferry to Tangier to step back in time. This island located in the Chesapeake Bay is inhabited by people and is an interesting day trip. ( weather permitting)

If you're looking for a day at the beach Cape Charles is a great option. Located on the Chesapeake Bay so there are no crashing waves. A charming small town with quaint restaurants and shops.
