Boulder has so much to offer, especially if you enjoy the outdoors. Some of Boulder’s most famous hikes are a 5-15 minute drive from our home (the Flat Irons/Chautauqua Park, Flagstaff, Eldorado Canyon, Sanitas, etc). In addition, Estes Park is a beautiful town with tons of fantastic hiking and beautiful views, definitely worth experiencing if in the area. As far as restaurants, there is a plentyitude of delicious places to visit. Some of our favorites are Brasserie 1010, the Med, the Oak, West End Tavern, the Biergarten (for European style music, beer and German Volk food), Shine, and the Black Cat (BC is much pricier though but great food and from local farms) among others. The Bitter bar offers professionally made and delicious cocktails. Centro on Pearl st. is a very fun place to grab drinks and food at, too, especially in their outside area. The Dushanbe tea house is a must to visit if in town! That is a fabulous tea house (also serves coffee, drinks and food) that is stunningly beautiful! As far as coffee places, the Trident on Pearl st is one of Boulder’s oldest landmarks and they make delicious coffees. If you happen to order their hot chicolate make sure to ask for whip cream as they make their own, and that is delicious. If you are seeking a cultural experience, Boulder’s Mackey auditorium and the Dairy center are your best bets.
