Local establishment been around for ever. It's on the back bay right across from the beach. Very casual, kid friendly. Great views. Great wait staff, not open on Monday's and closes for a few weeks in Aug. Some time you can see dolphins playing in the water. Inexpensive, recommend the burger, crab cakes, and fish & chips. Walk, bike or drive its close by, take the bike/walking path basically the whole way.

Want great locally owned, organic food for breakfast and lunch with great atmosphere, then you want to go to Jane's we love it. Kid friendly, some indoor but mostly outdoor dining under umbrella and roof. It's located in the original downtown area (3rd street) in the city of Naples. We like to sit by the beautiful fountain outside in the courtyard area.

Very kid friendly outdoor and indoor dining, usually they have their big doors open too, which is pleasant outdoor feel with air conditioning! Everybody that I've recommend this place to, likes it. Again this is walking, biking, or driving distance to us, take the bike/walking path the whole way. It's basically across the street from Mercato in the Pavilion Shopping Center area.
Best pizza place if you like very thin pizza crust. Cute little place, they also opened a larger on Tamiami Trail (not too far from their original one). I like the little one on Vanderbilt Beach Road. Walk, bike or drive, its close to us too. You can take the walking/bike path the whole way. Very kid friendly, a little pricey but definitely worth it. We typically get our own pizzas (small), leftovers great for breakfast the next day.

Best pizza place if you like very thin pizza crust. Cute little place, they also opened a larger on Tamiami Trail (not too far from their original one). I like the little one on Vanderbilt Beach Road. Walk, bike or drive, its close to us too. You can take the walking/bike path the whole way. Very kid friendly, a little pricey but definitely worth it. We typically get our own pizzas (small), leftovers great for breakfast the next day.

Shopping & Dining Combo Areas

These are area have dining and shopping, and potentially other activities. I only recommend them as the are safe, kid friendly, and close by our place. You can get to these areas by walking or biking, or drive if you like.
This is an area of lots of restaurants, Whole Foods, stadium theater seating, regularly scheduled outdoor events. Kid friendly area but also has a nightclub and a wine bar restaurant. Most dining appropriate for kids. They light the place up great during Dec and Jan.

On New Years eve, they have fake snow that falls out of the light posts at midnight on New Years eve, its magically! This is quieter than 5th Street area.
A few miles south of us; you'll need to drive vs walk/bike, unless you are a good biker. It's the very upscale outdoor shopping and dining place in Naples. Quite, but festive during the holidays. OK for kids that like to be with their parents, as they shop. Bring your stroller, the area is not to big, but not too small.

A few miles south of us; you'll need to drive vs walk/bike, unless you are a good biker. It's the very upscale outdoor shopping and dining place in Naples. Quite, but festive during the holidays. OK for kids that like to be with their parents, as they shop. Bring your stroller, the area is not to big, but not too small.

Grocery Stores

Need I say more! Yes this is walking and biking distance from us, but since you will cross Tamiami Trail, and you'll have groceries, you'll likely drive. If you walk or bike, please cross at the light/crosswalk. They do deliver too, it's my favorite way to grocery shop. Also they redid the store the other year and it's amazing! Has a restaurant in it too. Great place to get meals already prepared including pizza.

They'll steam lobster for you while you do other shopping! Publix is a Florida company, so there is a Publix basically everywhere, but this is our favorite.

Best beach in Naples! Sunsets are amazing. It's "our" beach. Just a short stroll away; take the bike/walk path all the way. Public parking also available on Vanderbilt Beach Road close to the beach; take walk/bike path from public parking garage to beach. Restaurants near by and also a little deli/grocery store by beach also. Bathrooms and outdoor showers. They rent cabanas and there is a little place to get pop and water there too. Take our bikes, wagon, and/or beach tote, chairs/umbrella to the beach with you.

Great place for the kids to learn, but also burn some energy. I'd recommend this place when you want to get kids out of the sun or if there is inclement weather.

Weather permitted they go out into the Gulf, where a lot more dolphins will be spotted. The boat is docked at Tin City. Before or after your tour, you can tour Tin City, a popular tourist spot.

Fishing & Excursions

This charter is in walking distance of Serendipity Cottage. We have used them many times and so have our guest. Both captains are great. They supply all the gear and bait. They even can bait your line and the clean the fish for you too!
