They also have outdoor heaters/fireplaces for enjoying the outdoors in chilly weather. Highly recommend and right near State Beach.

The island's largest and most active beach stretch faces the Atlantic ocean and gets the biggest waves. The beaches are big and perfect for a long day by the shore. Katema is a great spot for bike riding and watching the bi-planes overhead!

Worth the beautiful drive up-island to this quaint fishing village where you can grab shellfish, lobster and more from a local fish shop, walk along the harbor, fish off the jetties or lounge by the beach, taking in the breathtaking views. Menemsha is know for it's sunsets and they are not to be missed!! Arrive early for a late afternoon beach day and stay till sunset, making sure your camera is ready for some awesome pics. The Galley offers take out with non-seafood options or grab some chowder at a local fish spot. Don't miss this one of a kind beach!

The Galley offers take out with non-seafood options or grab some chowder at a local fish spot. Don't miss this one of a kind beach!

There is a small beachside with light wake and then a shallow lake side where you can clam (with a town permit), paddleboard, kayak etc. Perfect for small children as it's shallow and calm. Dog Friendly beach! Recommend water shoes for wading in the shallow lake area as it's mucky. The road down to the beach is VERY BUMPY and rough but worth it. Port a potty is at the beach and lifeguard on duty during summer months.
