People will argue all day about the best barbecue in Kansas City, but Q39 has my #1 vote!! I've never had a bad meal there. My favorite is the pulled pork sandwich, and you MUST get their onion straws! They're always busy, so try to go during an off-time (or make a reservation on Yelp).

Ohhh, this is one of my favorite places to take out of town friends when they visit. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food is melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Their Tostitostones with shredded beef is my favorite on the menu!

Each meal comes with some kind of potato (mashed, fries, plenty others), soup or salad, green beans, AND their famous cinnamon buns. Ooh you won't be disappointed! They are generally only open for dinner, FYI.

Sightseeing
Even if you don't visit the actual museum, this spot has the best view of Kansas City, hands down. It overlooks Union Station with the skyline just behind. Over Memorial Day weekend, the KC Symphony puts on a beautiful concert here with fireworks. It's stunning!

The Plaza is a Kansas City favorite. There are tons of stores, restaurants, and fountains down there. After Thanksgiving, the Christmas lights there are gorgeous! A must-see.

Friendliest grocery store around! Missouri is nice in that here you're allowed to purchase liquor in the grocery store, so it's a one-stop shop. Their customer service also doubles as a post office!

Kansas City's adorable trolley opened in 2016 (I think) and is a big hit! It doesn't go very far, but is a great way to see the city.
