There are many miles of paved trails to walk, run, or Rollerblade, and many more unpaved trails, even through the woods, to explore.
You will pass gardens of all varieties, wetlands with decking weaving over the wet spots, large grasslands with wildflowers, and a small nature center in the center. There are hidden spots with seating to read a book or escape for a bit. The Arboretum is managed by the Agriculture department at UKY. They do a fabulous job maintaining it and trails are open all day and into the evening.

416 Rebmann LnWhat I have experienced at Woodland are the festivals. The Ballet Under The Stars is a two day event. You bring a blanket or a chair and boom, you're in the Woodland in crowd. The Woodland Art Fair is another annual event that I've attended. I like the event itself, but fighting the crowd and tackling the scarce parking, isn't really my thing.
In my opinion, the best things about this park are the festivals hosted here and the mature trees. The worst is the parking.
