The track begins among Douglas fir on Skyline Access Road. Ben Lomond Track is a full day’s hike. Plan your trip well and make sure you have enough daylight hours to finish the walk. The section of track from the saddle to the summit is very steep and is not recommended for children under 10 years of age.
