Perfect for a picnic, this local state park offers easy parking and a boardwalk with views of endangered plants and wildlife. Rated #7 park in FL. A great early morning stroll before the heat comes out with a more advanced hiking trail available. Opens at 8 a.m. and to reach the lake and back takes 30 mins - 1 hour.

A great early morning stroll before the heat comes out with a more advanced hiking trail available. Opens at 8 a.m. and to reach the lake and back takes 30 mins - 1 hour.
177 Steep steps lead you up to the top of the lighthouse to a gorgeous view that’s hard to beat. You can go up barefoot - no flip flops or heels allowed. Rumored to be haunted, the lighthouse has been featured in Ghost Hunters and occasionally offers private nighttime tours for the curious.

Every Saturday rain or shine - the Palafox market is a great way to gear up for the day! Pick up some souvenirs made my local artists, enjoy a walking breakfast with a visit to one of the many food vendors and enjoy some live music in the central block.
