Food & Fun Scene
There are honestly too many amazing local places to eat, drink and be happy within a few minutes away from the house to have a completely comprehensive list! We have lived here over a decade and still have places on our list to try. Below are some of our favorite food and fun spots. If you see something you may fancy and have any questions or want help narrowing it down - please do not hesitate to ask!
A short walk away! They are open everyday 6:30am-1pm and have lots of options to make an amazing bagel sandwich or some great house made 'smear' options. Saturdays can get super busy so I would suggest going early if possible! Even if you have to wait though - it's worth it!

A small, fun local ice cream spot! They have a rotating flavor menu and always have something new and exciting. In the winter they convert to a noodle (Ramen) house and we HIGHLY suggest their noodles - it's a Friday night favorite for our whole family.

It is at the end of the street and is an awesome bar, arena and they invite local chefs to rotate in with their unique food creations. Saturday nights can get booked up quickly - if you would like to reserve a lane I'd suggest calling ahead!

Healthy and fast do not always correlate! At Boaz they do! It is like a Mediterranean version of chipotle. You can order off the menu or build a bowl - we LOVE it. They also have great smoothies and juice options as well.

Their Ramen is delicious, nice drink selection too. It's a laid back setting and when Fount (attached store) is open it's nice to peak in there. They host Drag Brunches periodically that I would highly suggest!

It is sort of like a bar crossed with a library which for me is awesome, ha! They have some snacks, but their specialty is the beer and atmosphere. When they do not have a guest food showcased (like waffles each Sunday!) you can grab takeout from nearby and bring it in to enjoy with your beverage. They also have a great room - the tin room that you can rent out for gatherings!

Great spot to visit with kids too; I suggest the skillet cookie for kids of ALL ages ;)

Catch a Work Out
I know for some who are traveling you may want to focus on the food and fun section more than exercise! I know at least for myself part of keep myself grounded when traveling is at least some work out time - in case that suites your fancy here are a few suggestions!
If you have ever cycled before Harness is awesome! If not, I would also suggest checking it out - they are super accommodating for first timers - just be sure to get there a little early to learn the ropes. They cycle in a 'sanctuary setting' which I was not too sure about at first, but ended up loving it!

The Great Outdoors!
Cleveland has a vast array of wonderful outdoor spaces! We are located very close to the amazing Lake Erie as well as great forests with winding paths and beautiful rivers. Down in the Cuyahoga Valley there is a hemlock forest which is a true rarity in this bio-region!
Worth a visit in any season! Large beach with space for walking, jogging and a beach house which is open seasonally.
