Food Scene

Some people eat to live, others (myself included) live to eat. If you're like me, than you will find Seattle's diverse food scene delectable.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in Seattle. They don't take reservations, so on a weekend its best to get there early. You won't regret it. Exceptional service...even better food. The house specialty is their crispy garlic chicken.

The Hi-Spot is top #5 in Seattle for brunch. Located inside an old house, it provides equally great ambiance and service. My personal favorite menu items are their buttermilk biscuit (w/ strawberry jam), breakfast burrito w/ crispy potatoes, and eggs Benedict.

Of all the excellent food available in Seattle, seafood is perhaps the city's calling card. Specifically there is no shortage of high quality Japanese food. Musashi's located in a nondescript East-Side strip mall, can arguably boast having THE freshest/tastiest menu of sashimi in all the city. Nigiri, sushi rolls, and handrolls, are all available. My personal favorite item is their Chirashi bowl which features an assortment of market fresh fish over sushi rice.

Originally located inside a connivance store in Wallingford, the 45th Stop N Shop which I contend has the best Poke in all Seattle, has opened a new much fancier location next to the Pan Pacific Hotel. Fortunately the food is still incredible.

Parks & Nature

Sure Seattle has the highest suicide rate in all the U.S., but I'd contend that is due to the fact the city's remarkable parks and it's close proximity to nature is underutilized. So do yourself a favor and checks one of them out while visiting.
This hidden gem has a spectacular view of the city. Seattle, currently has more cranes in the sky than any other city in North America, and Bhy Kracke overlooks South Lake Union, Downtown, Capital Hill, and more.

With mountains on mountains on mountains and bodies of water in seemingly every direction, there are numerous parks throughout the Greater Seattle area that have fantastic views. But if given the choice of just one, I'm not hesitating before choosing the Olympic Sculpture park, with its view of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. You also get the benefit of a number of impressive sculptures and art installations.

Essentials

God Bless America, for we have the world's best selection of retail stores. In Seattle, if you need essentials look no further than this list.
Leschi Market has THE best selection of groceries in the entire city; wine, beer, produce, deli, craft goods, they have it all. The market is also conveniently located on Lake Washington, in Leschi, one of the City's most scenic and walkable neighborhoods.

This iconic Asian grocery store is full of fun and interesting products. It is a great place to go for unique and affordable souvenirs (e.g pear flavored kit kat bars).

Drinks & Nightlife

Although Seattle is a far cry away from other World-Class cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, when it comes to nightlife, you can still find a choice selection of solid nightclubs and scores of great bars.
If you're looking to go out to a Seattle Nightclub, Havana has solid mojitos, DJS, & dancing. Full food menu also available.

Arts & Culture

Beautiful sculptures & breathtaking views of Puget Sound. Best of all, it doesn't cost a dollar. You can easily spend a few hours walking in the park.

Sightseeing

Do yourself a favor and go to Pike Place Market and spend a few hours exploring/people watching. There is no shortage of crafts and food. My personal favorite spot, is Pike Place Nuts. Beware, their latte hazelnuts are addicting!
