The Calgary zoo was founded in 1912, located in Bridgeland, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, East of the city's downtown and adjacent to the Inglewood and East Village neighborhoods. It is accessible via Calgary's C-Train light rail system, by car via Memorial Drive, and by bicycle and footpath via the Bow River pathway. Founded in 1982, Calaway Park is Western Canada's largest outdoor family amusement park.[3] The park is located in Springbank, Alberta, 4 kilometers west of the city limits of Calgary on the Trans-Canada Highway. The park features a variety of rides including a large log flume, called "Timber Falls", rides "Chaos" and "Storm", and the park's two biggest attractions: "The Vortex", its corkscrew roller coaster, and the "Dream Machine", a 56-passenger swing ride. There are many other rides that are unique to the park. Calaway Park currently has 32 rides, 20 food locations, 23 games, and covers 90 acres (0.36 km2). 20 minutes drive and you are there.

CrossIron Mills is a fully enclosed shopping centre just outside the northern city limits of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and immediately east of the hamlet of Balzac in Rocky View County. It was developed by Ivanhoé Cambridge, a major Canadian real estate company. Completed in August 2009,[1] the mall is the largest single-level shopping centre in Alberta, containing approximately 109,440 m2 (1,178,000 sq ft) of retail and entertainment space with over 200 stores. Immediately east of the CrossIron Mills property is Century Downs Racetrack and Casino, one of two A-level equine racetracks in Alberta. Operated by the United Horsemen of Alberta (UHA), Century Downs Racetrack and Casino has been open since April 2015.
