There are two large river boat operations on Lady Bird Lake during warmer months taking people on bat watching tours. When they bats leave, they still offer great tours of Lady Bird Lake. Capital Cruises offers evening sunset tour and afternoon sightseeing tours on the weekends. Lone Star Riverboats features weekend signt seeing tours and a Friday Night Moonlight cruises. Also, great for a walk, hike or running.

A major concert venue that's also a pretty good barbecue joint, Stubb's features mid-level touring acts ranging from the Dropkick Murphys to Blondie. The sprawling limestone building, originally built in the 1850s, has a laid-back, rustic feel. The outdoor amphitheater can hold a little over 2,000 people, while the two-story indoor performance space is much more intimate. Named one of "The Best Big Rooms in America" by Rolling Stone magazine, Stubb's is known for excellent acoustics and reasonably easy access to booze and restrooms.

Many of the acts at the Continental Club are mashups of country, blues and rock, but they’re always top-notch bands, seven nights a week. Show up early if you want a seat. They go fast, even on weeknights
