Sightseeing
Only a few miles away on back roads, Assawoman offers free park entrance, wildlife, hiking, fishing, crabbing and several different landings in which to launch a kayak, canoe, motor boat or jetski. There's also two different picnic pavilions. It's a locals favorite and must see spot!

This is new to our community this year (2020), but visitors and locals seem to love it! I haven't visited, but it looks like fun if you don't want to go far. A wonderful place for a day trip and a must-see for horse lovers! Check their website for entrance fee, but a beautiful drive and wonderful beach. Enjoy!

One of Delaware's state Parks, the Southside beach is a local's favorite for skim boarding and boogie boarding and the Northside is known as surfer's beach (also a favorite among kite boarders, stand up paddle boarders, sea kayakers). It's my favorite beach to go to and tends to be less crowded at the northern most ramp. In case of a spontaneous rain shower or thunderstorm, folks duck under the bridge until it passes. Has a bath house and usually plenty of parking. Good beach spot!

My favorite local spot for grub. Award winning subs. The cheese steak and Italian are the best! It's about 2 minutes down the road on 26. Right at the light, drive a 1/4 mile and it's on your left.

Many of my guests prefer to Uber there to avoid the parking issue. That being said, Bethany Beach is a sweet spot and worth the effort.
