Recently comprehensively refurbished by mine host , Karen, this charming pub can now shine after years of neglect . Visitors can either sit in the stable yard or the secluded patio garden. Wide choice of beverages not forgetting Leah’s mouthwatering cakes on sale in the coffee bar.

Sightseeing
Eastbourne enjoys a premier place amongst the south coast resorts with several miles of beaches and a Victorian pier . During the summer season you can ride an open top bus to Beachy Head with its imposing white cliff and famous lighthouse . Also of note is the towns harbour resort with many retail outlets .

This trail is easily accessed from my place and having gained the summit it is a pleasant undulating walk to either Beachy Head and Birling Gap, or the neighbouring villages of Jevington and Alfriston . It is true to that this trail goes deeper into the National Park.

Eastbourne has, over many years, held a tennis tournament that many consider a proving ground for Wimbledon the following week (on now).
