When you stay at Erowal Days you are only a short 7 minute drive away from this most beautiful of locations. My tip in busy holiday times, go early and walk the length of the beach(or as far as you wish). You’ll beat the crowds and the wind and see it at its most spectacular.

Take a picnic and set up here for the day. Explore the rock platforms or take a short walk to Governor’s Headland lookout where you might see a local seal or whales when they are passing by. The 5km loop track is spectacular.

The walk in from the carpark is well worth it. Cave Beach is on the southern side of the bay and fronts the ocean. There’s a lookout to take in the spectacular view . A popular destination for surfers with the potential for huge waves and of course there is a cave to explore. Not the place however for poor swimmers.

Perfect spot to take in the amazing sandstone cliffs and the ideal spot to watch migrating whales. The lighthouse has an interesting history and the drive in through tall blackbutt forest is a joy.

Beautiful isolated beach in Booderee National Park. Well worth the moderately long bushwalk in and the descent down a long series of stairs from the overlooking hilltop to the beach.

Scottish Rocks in Booderee is a great place to go to escape the crowds. Often you will share the beach with only a handful of others and it’s a fantastic walk to either Hole in the Wall or Bristol Point and Greenpatch. There is some nice snorkelling spots and the walk in from the carpark is an easy five minute stroll. The small roadside carpark is well signposted and only a few hundred metres past the Bristol Point entry. Don’t miss it on a still blue sky day.
