Best route to the Beach

The most scenic route to the beach from Escondido is on Del Dios Highway...if you GPS a trip to the beach it will most likely recommend 78 or the 56...in between those two highways is a smaller more scenic route - find Del Dios and go from there. It will take you over to the coast and you can head north or south for amazing beaches.

Route to the Beach if you don't have a car

You can take the Sprinter from the Escondido Transit Center to the beach in Oceanside. Escondido Transit is a 1.2 mile walk from where I live or you can take a city bus to the transit center.

Best route to walk to downtown Escondido: Head out the gate Turn right Right on to Maple Right on 7th, 6th or 5th left on Kalmia to Grand Avenue.
