They do a constantly changing seasonal set menu for lunch or dinner and your sat at communal long tables which makes for a great atmosphere even if not busy, we got speaking to an american couple when we went which is a nice change from the usual. Book ahead as its small.

Best coffee in Edinburgh in my opinion, hipster and delicious. They roast their own coffee. Flat whites are amazing. They also have a few other branches, all are great.

A must see in Edinburgh, good selection of museums inside the castle that are included in the ticket price. The castle also houses the crown jewels. Go for the 1 o'clock gun if you can. Great views of the whole city. Otherwise go early to avoid the crowds.
