Recreation at the lake
The centennial park is a beautiful attraction that bring people to Sylvan Lake year after year. It is a popular place to picnic, swim and relax in the sun in the summer. In the winter it is a great place for a walk before going for a skate on the well maintained ice surfaces on the lake.
The beach at Sylvan Lake is a very popular place in the summer. The lake is comfortably warm partly due to the fact that it gets deep very gradually. On a nice warm day you find people enjoying the water, sun bathing, picnicking, BBQing and socializing. On the pier you will find activity in the beach volleyball courts. There are many places along Lakeshore Drive that you can find refreshments and great food. Large public parking can also be found close to the beach as well
