Food scene

Super close to the house! This is the very best Pizza in Charleston. The owner, Todd, is always there and super friendly. The pizza is a thin crust style with super fresh ingredients including house made mozzarella. Take my word for it - it's the best.

Super close to the house! This is my favorite spot for local BBQ. Their wings (dry rub/ smoked) are absolutely the best I have ever had. I also love their mac & cheese and collard greens. You can't go wrong and it has a great local vibe. Enjoy!

This is my go to local spot for lunch when I am downtown and cruising around the historic district. The staff are always super nice and the food is made fresh and priced very reasonably.

This is my favorite restaurant in Charleston, hands down. The chef, Michael Toscano, has brought incredible italian cuisine to the heart of the lowcountry. All of the pastas are made in house and the menu is always changing and highlighting seasonal produce and proteins. A couple of items you must order include the fresh Focaccia bread and the broccoli rabe as a side. Also, the restaurant itself is beautiful including a large outdoor dining patio. This place is a must!

Sightseeing

Folly Beach is my go to beach especially since it is an easy 20 minute drive from the house. There are also a number of great restaurants on the island that I go to regularly including Taco Boy, Lost Dog Cafe (Breakfast) and Chico Feo.

If you are looking for an outdoor hike or just a great park to walk around then Caw Caw is the place. This is my go to spot for spotting wildlife. The property features old rice fields and even a swamp boardwalk. It is also only a 15 minute drive from the house. Do yourself a favor and check this place out for a comprehensive experience of the lowcountry.
