A short hike from the parking lot, you come to the bay where at low tide you can wade in shallow water and find squid egg sacks (jelly-like), horseshoe crabs galore, hermit crabs and more! The small beach is a good spot to enjoy a snack too. You can also take a kayak tour or launch your own kayak from here as well.

A round of mini golf with the family, young and old, is always a fun thing to do while at the beach! We like this one because it's close by and the kids love the dinosaur theme!

This is an awesome park that opened in 2020. Has ocean theme with large ship as part of playground. Also has a ninja warrior course and several pickle ball courts. Has accessible bathrooms as well.

Great park with lots of shade! A lot of climbing structures and also a small, fenced in area for those toddlers on the move. A few historical buildings nearby as well, including small post office and info about Sussex County dominating the boiler industry.

Although this place seems to have somewhat cheesy decor, we were pleasantly surprised with our experience there. You can sit in air conditioning with beautiful views of the beach, the kid meal drinks include little leis, their mango-rita is delicious and their paella too.

We love doing an early morning bike ride from home to their location on Coastal Highway; plus it has a drive thru for convenience and it is much shorter wait that downtown Bethany spot. Warm, delicious donuts and great acai bowls too!
