This food truck is ONLY open Friday/Saturday nights and some Sundays. It is AMAZING Venezuelan food. If you happen to be here 5pm-10pm on a Fri or Sat night, definitely try to check it out.

They have an amazing all you can eat brunch with some of the most amazing Mediterranean and international dishes you won't find anywhere else around Gainesville. Definitely try it if you aren't scared off by a $22 brunch buffet.

We have a lot of great local coffee shops around town, but I think this one may be the best.

Good local joint, at night they have special multi-course meals you need to make a reservation for. New Dehl Cafe next door will also serve Mildred's food, and it's a little less pricey.

My fave Pan-Asian restaurant with a lot of vegetarian options. Service is sometimes slow, but they have a lake views, and the food is very good with very generous portions.

Lovely wetlands park. Lots of birds! It's the best place to catch a breeze in the Swamp. Go early before it gets hot, there is not a lot of tree cover. I think parking is $5.

Celebration point has a nice new movie theater (reserve tickets in advance, has those nice seats and it feels like you are at home watching on a giant screen), a pizza place (Midici's), and a chocolate/desert shop (Kilwin's), not much else there, but sometimes there is live music in the square. It's a good date night spot. Very pretty area.
