Our favorite winery is only 30 minutes from our house, and just 15 minutes from the the town of White Salmon. Excellent wines, beautiful views of Mt. Hood, and outstanding staff! We have coupons in our guest unit for two wine tastings for the price of one.

Terrific food and cocktails - can eat indoors or out (deck has view of Mt. Hood). Awesome sandwiches, as well as salads, small plates and dinner entrees. A small grocery market is attached.

Close to Cor and Syncline wineries if you want to make a day of it (or drive further east on Hwy 14 and visit Jacob Williams winery, one of our favorites!)
Impressive waterfall on this 3.2 mile out and back hike, rated as moderate. Hike in the morning and enjoy lunch in Carson or nearby Stevenson.

This is a moderate to difficult hike with steep inclines, but gorgeous views and amazing wildflowers to see during springtime. There are many connecting trails and is easy to make into a longer or shorter loop or out and back.
