Louis Bait Camp has been around for a very long time in the area and locals love it. They have excellent food and drinks with a very friendly staff. The burgers are a crowd favorite so when in doubt take that route.
They also have a fully functional fishing pier and 2 slip boat ramp for inboard/outboard vessels. They carry seasonal bait in live tanks so it really doesn't come any fresher.

If you're visiting in the winter they put up the massive Iceland exhibit that is 1,000% worth the visit.

Downtown Galveston- "The Strand"
Known as historic Galveston "The Strand" is the place to be during the annual Mardi Gras celebrations. During the day there is ample shopping and the whole district is like a little slice of SoHo NYC. As night sets in the area also comes alive with many bars and lounges all offering unique atmospheres and interesting bar styles.

"Private Bayou" with access to Galveston Bay from home.
The house is located on Highland Bayou which is only frequented by the residents of Bayou Vista. The water is mostly shallows generally not more that 4 feet deep before you touch the silty bottom. Crabbing is fantastic with an ample supply of Blue Crab in the bayou. Experienced boaters can launch from the boat ramp on our property and take a right at the end of the canal. Once you get to Louis Bait camp and head under the overpass just follow the waterways out to Galveston Island. Be careful though if you aren't familiar with the waters please contact Devin.
