Josephine is a fantastic choice for special occasions, and staying with us in The Napping House has got to be one of those, no? It is probably the fanciest restaurant in 12 South, as well as the closest one to us, and I’m sure that means something.

bartaco is a super popular option in the 12 South neighborhood with an awesome outdoor patio, super tasty food and drinks, and people watching that is hard to beat.

Chances are if you have never been to Jeni’s and visit the one a couple blocks from us, you will become one of those people who will not stop talking about the place. :) As someone who prefers tater tots to sweets I must admit I don’t feel compelled to visit, but I have been assured numerous times that I am truly missing out.

12 South Taproom & Grill has a big covered outdoor patio, opens at 11am, and always seems to have a good crowd. There is an awesome selection of beer, cocktails, and the food is surprisingly tasty.

Frothy Monkey is a delightful coffee shop that serves breakfast through dinner. They also have a decent wine/beer/cocktail list.

It will take a short drive to get to Folk and you’ll be glad you made it. They have some of the most delicious and also creative pizzas in the history of the world, plus the ambience is the coolest.

If you are itching to get outdoors to walk, bike, or hike, definitely recommend checking out Radnor. It is beautiful and easy access, though definitely can get full on weekends and holidays.

Cheekwood is gorgeous anytime of year, but we are definitely partial to the holiday light displays - this year will run from Nov 20 to Jan 9.

Music Venues
The Ryman is hands down one of the most special music venues we have ever been to, and it is just as incredible every time we visit. Definitely recommend checking out live music if you can, but they also have tours during the day for interested parties.
