Best 'Pizza al Metro' (pizza served by the meter) of the city. Take the funicolare from La Zecca (very close to the house) and drive up until the last stop. There you can also enjoy a great view of the city and stop by the 'Montallegro' for a great dinner! Remember to book, as the place is often over-booked :)

In piazza Embriaci, an historical square in the city centre, you can find the 'Whiskeria' as its locally known, where you can taste great whisky and whisky-based cocktails. Right next to the 'Negroneria', so all members of a group can find what they prefer :)

Taking the train in Genova Principe to Bogliasco is definitely a must do if you stay more than a couple days - just 20 minutes of train and you are in a beautiful sea village. If it’s hot enough, bring your bathing costume to enjoy the beautiful sea.

La ‘passeggiata di nervi’ together with nervi’s park is one of the definitive must do’s in Genova. Even if you are here for a couple of days, Nervi is a rare gem not to miss. Do the whole walk from the train station until capolungo, and then have a picnic in the beautiful parks (or enjoy an aperitivo with amazing sea view at sunset). Best way to reach it is with a train from principe

To get there, you can take the public transport (bus 20+17), but I advise to get off a couple of stops before and enjoy the walk (corso Italia) to get there. To eat, I suggest accompanying this beautiful place with a ‘cono fritto’ - small fried fish you can get from a local pescheria.

Beautiful port city, just 30 minutes distance by train from Principe. Recommended to who gets to spend some more time in Genova :) if you like hiking, google hike to ‘San fruttuoso di camogli’ for an amazing hike that arrives in one of the most beautiful beaches of the coast.
